Panerai has celebrated the new Chinese year with a limited-edition timepiece since 2009. Moreover, 2018 was the year of the dog, as Panerai released this PAM00858 88 pieces limited edition. This timepiece has a closed case similar to a pocket watch. It’s 44mm in diameter and made of stainless-steel. The external case has a traditional Chinese iconography with a dog in the midst of plum flowers engraved by Italian master craftsmen with an exhibition case back and a winding crown. Below the dog case design is a designed grey bullseye dial that has Arabic index hour markers, a date window and a small seconds sub-dial. It is powered by the self-winding P.9000 cailber with date functionality and a power reserve of 72 hours. The case is paired with a brown leather bracelet with a stainless-steel pin buckle and has water resistance of 100 meters.
